What do you give your rats as a treat?

I wanted to know other treats rats might like my rat Florrie likes grapes, peas, peanuts and cake crumbs and I just wanted to know any more treats I could give her.

Is there any warm foods I could give her during winter but I don't want to give her any meat.

Could I give her a small amount of porridge?

If you can't say anything nice or sensible about rats don't answer the question. What do you give your rats as a treat?
My rats LOVE it when I boil and egg.

I give them the whole egg, shell and all. They roll it around and push it down the ramps in the cage until they can get it cracked open. It's a ton of fun for you and the rats.

Of course let it cool down. You don't want to give them anything hot. Warm is ok but not hot.

Good Luck!

rats can eat all fruit and veg. (apart from citrus fruit)

you can buy lots of special rat treats at most pet shops. one of my rats favourites it chocolate drops (not real chocolate because; like dogs, rats cant have real chocolate)

you can also give your rats dried fruit, thats a favourite of my rats. also. avoid too many sunflower seeds.

Hi! First, thank you for getting rats! Second, here is a link to one of my blog posts about rat treats, the first list you will see on that page is a list of forbidden food, and if you scroll down a little, there is a list of great treats. The first few are warm and healthy, too!

Enjoy your fuzzlets :-)
My ratties adore ice cream cones (waffle or plain) they run around grabbing it from one another until everyone has a piece and my dominant female/male has the larger piece. They also love Kashi granola bars, craisins, shreddies, healthy choice muffins (banana prune is their fav), little bits of banana, arrowroot cookie the list goes on and on ! I like getting a paper towel tube and stuffing it full of cheerio's then twisting the ends and toss it in, it only takes them minutes to shred it but it's a fun and rewarding toy for them.
Rats will eat just about anything and everything. Always feed processed foods sparingly and completely avoid all corn syrups, cane sugars, and chocolate. Various types of bread, cereal, nuts, oatmeal, and some granola bars (check for all of the above). When I kept rats they loved to eat Honey 'N' Oats granola bars. :)
you can give her some warm milk but only a little amount of it im sure she will find it delicious.

you can also buy hamster chocolate buttons you can get white ones and brown ones from pet shops.
