I'm about to buy two female rats, can they live together?

I want to get two female rats, possibly at the same time (if I find two I like) or possibly at different times. What is the best way to introduce them to each other so they can live stress and fight free?I'm about to buy two female rats, can they live together?
Try and buy a young pair together since that would be easiest for you and the rats. If you buy them at the same time you wont need to introduce them and since your a new rat owner it would be better for you not to try anything to difficult. When introducing rats its important to know why they act the way they act.

I would recommend you do some research before you buy your rats so you are more informed about the care they will need.I'm about to buy two female rats, can they live together?
best way to go is to get two litter mates or rats that have been together already. but to introduce two rats take them to a neutral area such as the bath tub and let them meet. before hand clean out the cage very well with a pet odor removing solution so it doesn't smell like any particular rat. once they've had time to get to know each other place them in the cage and observe them for a day or so. rats are very social and get along extremely well with few exceptions.
definetly! :) thank you for realizing that you need to get two for them to be happy and healthy! I would suggest getting them at the same time, it would be the easiest way. If you get them seperately, introduce them on neutral grounds, i.e. in the bathtub, a couch, etc. And before you put them in the cage, scrub it and all the accesories clean to remove her smell.
Hello,

Yes this is fine but they might tend to do a little bit of funny stuff like crawl over each other and squeak and maybe fight a little bit but that is normal. They are finding out who is boss. I hope i helped,

Daniel
yes they are supposed to live together...i think u should do more research before you buy rats because rats need a companion.
Its fine IF they are from the same liiter if not they probley will fight alotttt
The best thing to do would be to find two that have already been housed together. Check out http://petfinder.com/
