How do you send rats through the mail?

does anyone know how to go about doing this? How do you send rats through the mail?
You cannot send rats through the mail. There is a Yahoo Rat Transport group that might help with getting them from point a to point b, but not if you're selling them to someone - it's used to help out rescued rats get to their new home. How do you send rats through the mail?
Interesting, considering a rat would eat through a cardboard container.

I have shipped live birds via the postal service. You can check their site at www.usps.com. I had to use special cardboard boxes with the doves. They had to have food, water, and special air holes.

The rodent's chewing might make it a little different for this type of animal. This site is pretty informative.
Contrary to some beliefs, you don't just place a stamp on its forehead and shove him into the mailbox. It doesn't work that way. In fact, I do not belive US or Cdn postals send any live animals via normal mail. They would be special courier. Check with your post office.
Fed Ex and UPS are some of the largest drug smugglers in the world...Im sure youll figure it out. FYI it will probably die in the mail. You are a jerk for asking btw.
are you stupid why would you want to send a rat through the mail. it is not only stupid but dumb.a live rat would die if the is no holes in the package to allow it to breath.

i hope this helps
You can use a specialist pet transportation company, who will ensure that your pet is safely handled.

Be aware that it's not cheap - allow at least $60+ per rat :)
I think the way is to provide plenty of insulation, while still having air hold, and some water that somhow doesnt spill. Just a suggestion.
if your selling someone pet rats, you either go to them with the rats or they come to you to pick them up.
You can send them on an airplane. That's how we got our puppy from Kansas to Oregon.
what? seriously? what makes you think this is a good idea
Live rats? I don't think you can.
use a good sized box that won't give away the contents.
i dont think that you can i would ask a postal station
