Just remember - rats can have a lot of babies. My rat had 13 babies! So if your 2 female rats has 13 babies each that's 26 baby rats!! A lot to handle and you would more cages, plus the babies can become pregnant at 5 weeks old. You would need to be able tell the sex of them and separate the boys and girls at 5 week old.
