When can baby rats be taken from their mom?

I'm looking to adopt. Thanks! When can baby rats be taken from their mom?
4 1/2 weeks is the earliest unless mom passes away or there is some kind of aggression going on. They wean at 4 1/2 weeks. It is better to take them just before 5 1/2 weeks, though. They learn an awful lot about socialization and relating to the world from their moms, and the last week really helps them out.

If mom dies or if there is a huge illness or something tragic happens, they will survive after 3+ weeks, but it is not a good idea. Just three weeks cheats them out of some really important immune system/health development and some really good socialization.

Have fun with your new babies when they leave their mama! :)When can baby rats be taken from their mom?
Not until they are fully dependent on rat food, and water.

If you take then away before then, they are dependant on the mother rat to feed them.

This could be around 4.5weeks. I got mine at 4 weeks and they were fully weened. They also looked a bit older than they were, so this was okay, but like people are saying, the next week might help, as they learn some social skills.
roughly 4.5 weeks or unitil they open thair eyes and stop drinking but usaully its about 1 week after they open there eyes...

i usaully wait unil they stop drinking and i leave them for 3 days in there moms cahe and then u can tke them out
