Does rat neutering stop male rats from urine marking everywhere?

I was thinking about getting my male rats neutered, so that I can keep them with my female rats and also because i heard it stops them marking their territory. Will neutering stop them marking entirely, or just less often.Does rat neutering stop male rats from urine marking everywhere?
Neutering probably won't *completely* stop your boys from scent marking, but should reduce it considerably. Wait a few weeks after the procedure before you introduce them to your females though, as they'll still be able to reproduce for awhile.Does rat neutering stop male rats from urine marking everywhere?
Yes and no. If you neuter the rat before it becomes a habit, it's much, much less frequent. They aren't driven by hormones. My neutered boy has never once marked, although he's only three and a half months old and thus hasn't gone through ';puberty'; yet. (My appr.-eight-month-old boy marks like crazy.) But anyway, early neutering will definitely curb the behavior a lot. However, if your rat has already been marking for awhile, it's a habit. The procedure may reduce marking, but it won't break an existing habit.
The urine marking won't stop, as it's a territory issue. If they feel like they need to mark their territory, they will.
It will be less often. But it will also cut down on the aggression. I would do it just so they can stay with their female friends.
The marking would just happen less often, but I don't think it would totally stop the marking as they still love you :D, lol!
sadly no just less often they mark there territory A LOT and when they are neutered only once in awhile
