Would they be okay to be in contact with their rats again?

A friend has a throat infection and is on strep throat meds. She has been on the meds for a few days and as far as she knows is not contagious. She has been avoiding her pet rats so they dot catch her infection but, is wondering if she will be okay to make contact with them again?

First of all, the rats shouldn't be able to get sick from strep throat or tonsillitis, and if she has been on antibiotics for several days, this means she is no longer contagious to other humans, let alone the rats.





To be absolutely certain, call up a vet and ask them if it's okay.
