What experiments have been done on the sleep-wake cycle of rats? Humans?

Have there been any on polyphasic sleeping?


Are there other animals tested more frequently than rats?


For the humans, I just need to know very general information.


I did some research but couldnt find anything on any of the major databases. It doesn't have to be polyphasic sleeping; I just need to know their general cycle and how it relates to that of humans.
