Is it possible for pet rats to have the 'hiccups'?!?

I'm not sure what it is but when a rat sniffs a lot at the same time do they make this hiccup sound? Or what could have the same sound? I just want to know if something(the sound) like that is normal. Is it possible for pet rats to have the 'hiccups'?!?
My male rat makes a similar noise, but it's like little sneezes in his case. (He's healthy, just a sneezer for some reason!)Is it possible for pet rats to have the 'hiccups'?!?
Being small rodents, rats can't Hiccup as their breathing doesn't cater for it, just like they can't burp either. They can however sneeze repeatedly which is possibly whats happening here.

One of my rats was allergic to his bedding and every so often he would set off on a long chain of sneezes, up to 20 or so at short intervals with a few seconds between. Each one sounded like a little hiccup and he jumped slightly each time.

Once I changed his bedding to potting compost with paper nesting bedding, he stopped sneezing.
YES YOUR RAT COULD HAVE THE HICCUPS MY LITTLE ONE DID ALL THE TIME ALL A HICCUP IS .IS A MUSCLE SPASM IN THE DIAPHAM
I'm not sure about hiccups specifically, but I know that rats can't burp. They're not physically equipped to do it. I would assume that they can't hiccup either.
