How do you get your rats to like you?

I have two female rats. they are 1 to 2 months old. I have had them for about 4 days. They still seem kind of scared of me. They are very squirmy when i pick them up, they always want to get away. how long will it take for them to get used to me? Will they ever like me? I give them lots of good treats.How do you get your rats to like you?
Four days really aren't anywhere enough time for rats to get used to you, let alone ';like'; you. They're still exploring their cage and getting over being moved. don make quick movements, because they do scare easily always be gental with them to, try putting ur hand in the cage and letting them com to you and sniff you, also put a onld t-shirt that smells like you in there cage so they get used to your scent
I love the t-shirt in the cage idea, thats so clever! you should also try and have contact with them reguarly, talk to them, hang out around thier cage, don't worry little ratties can be skittish so give them time, they will come to love you, especially if you keep it up with the treaties!!
Try placing your hand in their cage slowly with a treat in your palm. Leave your hand in there for a while so they don't get so scared of human contact. When holding your rat be gentle, and when he looks like he wants to be put down do so. This way the rat will figure out you're not trying to harm him and will come back on your hand more frequently. For instance if someone kept you up high for a long time against your wish, and wouldn't let you go back down would you do it again?
