Whens the best time to put my baby rats and mom in with other rats?

Right now the babies are 22 days old and i was wondering how old they should be when i mix them in with my other rat. And will mama rat be okay with the other rat being there?Whens the best time to put my baby rats and mom in with other rats?
I would say that 22 days is a little too young. Give it another week or two and they will be around 4 - 5 weeks old and you should be separating the male and female babies then anyway.

This extra week will also give you a little time to bond mama with the other rat (or re-bond if they were cage-mates before her pregnancy and birth). Start introducing them both on neutral territory for a short time each day and keep extending the time if all seems okay. I personally wouldn't advise putting their cages close so they could see each other. Some rat moms are VERY protective and territorial of their nests, but all rats are individuals some don't mind other rats around their babies, only you know your rats personally so go with whatever makes the rats happy :)

If all goes to plan, when the time comes to separate the different sexes of the babies you can do a thoroughly vigorous cage clean of all cages and the mama rat, the older rat and the female babies can go into one cage and the male babies can go into the other :)Whens the best time to put my baby rats and mom in with other rats?
Put the single rat in with the mom %26amp; babies, if there's a fight, get the other one out right away. Don't put the family in the single rat's place, there's more of a chance of territory wars that way.

If you have 2 wire cages, or a wire separator, let them be neighbors for a day or more so they can smell each other's noses safely through the wire and get used to each other.
You have rats?! :%26amp;
